How we collect, use and protect your information. Effective September 2026.
The Nigeria–Kenya Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NiKCCIMA) treats commercial and personal data with care and confidentiality. We comply with data protection laws in both nations:
This policy covers information gathered through our main website, Support Desk, verified business directory, and trade mission registrations.
To support business matching and cross-border trade, we collect:
Company legal name, registration numbers (CAC or BRS), tax ID (TIN or PIN), physical office address in Nigeria or Kenya, and export sector.
Name of primary contact persons, business email addresses, telephone/WhatsApp numbers, and summit delegate details.
Inquiries, documentation, and shipment reference details submitted to our Support Desk for assistance.
We use your information exclusively to provide Chamber services:
Because our Chamber operates between Nigeria and Kenya, data submitted in one country may be accessed by Secretariat staff in the other to assist your business.
All shared information is protected under standard contractual safeguards that uphold both Nigerian and Kenyan privacy requirements.
We protect your data using industry-standard security measures, including modern SSL/TLS encryption, protected cloud databases, and restricted staff access.
You have the right to request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, request corrections to out-of-date details, or ask for deletion where legally permissible. We handle all inquiries promptly and without charge.
